Amin's Vanilla Wafer Cake

My grandmother (I called her Amin!) used to make this and send to me when I was in college. It travels well!

1 C sugar
1 stick butter
Cream these together.

Add 1 C milk and 3 eggs (1 at a time) and beat.
Add 1 tsp baking powder, 1 C coconut, 1/2 C pecans, 1 tsp vanilla, and 1 lb. crushed vanilla wafers.

Bake in square pan. There is no time/degrees on the recipe, but I'd guess 350 degrees until "set".
