Ingredients
2/3 cup(160 ml) evaporated milk
1 1/2 cup (375 ml) white sugar
1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) salt
1 1/4 cups (310 ml) dark or nilk chocolate(chips)
1 tsp (5 ml) Vanilla
1/2 cup (125 ml) chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
Procedure
1. Combine in saucepan evaporated milk, sugar and salt. Bring to a boil. Cook for 5 minutes stirring frequently.
2. Remove from heat, stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into a well buttered 8" or 9" (20 cm or 23 cm) pan. Refrigerate until set. Cut into squares.
